A pale pink upright spadix sits at the front of each spathe. The leaves are deep green, heart-shaped and semi-glossy, held on slender upright stalks that flush red at the base.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003chr\u003e\n\n\u003ch2\u003eGrowth and size\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eNew leaves and flower stems both rise from a central base on long stalks, with a flower appearing between every few leaves. Blooms open one at a time and hold their colour for six to eight weeks before fading to green. Indoors it reaches around 40 to 50cm tall and about the same across.
