A pale spadix stands upright at the front of each spathe. The leaves are large, deep green and glossy, heart-shaped, held on sturdy upright stalks.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003chr\u003e\n\n\u003ch2\u003eGrowth and size\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eNew leaves and flower stems rise together from a central base on long stalks, with a bloom appearing between every few leaves. Its flowers are among the larger anthurium spathes and hold their colour for six to eight weeks before fading to green. Indoors it reaches around 40 to 50cm tall and about the same across.
