Size
No two leaves on this one are the same. Some come through flecked and streaked with white, others with a clean white block over half the leaf. The stalks underneath are a pinky red. Keep it somewhere bright, and give it something to climb once it puts on some height.

White Knight has glossy heart-shaped leaves, a bit elongated, in mid to deep green with white running through them. On some leaves that white shows up as flecks and streaks. On others it comes through as a clean block over half the leaf, and every so often you get one that is almost entirely white. The leaf stalks and the newer stems are flushed a pinky red. At this size it is still low and upright rather than climbing.

Growth & size

It sits low and upright to start with, then starts climbing as it matures. Leaves come out one at a time from the growing tip, and they get bigger once it has a moss pole or stake to hold onto. In a 14cm pot it is around 30 to 40cm now, and it will go a lot taller given time. Most of the growth, and the cleanest white, comes over the New Zealand growing season from October to April.

Bright light keeps the white

The variegation only holds up in bright indirect light. Put it somewhere dim and the new leaves will come through mostly green. In New Zealand a north-facing window is the spot for it.

Toxic to cats, dogs and people if eaten. Contains calcium oxalate crystals. Comes in a 14cm plastic nursery pot.
